\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tApr\u00e8s de maintes recherches infructueuses, je dois mon salut \u00e0 Vi\u00eat Citron, situ\u00e9 \u00e0 Burlington. Ce restaurant se sp\u00e9cialise dans l\u2019un de mes plats vietnamiens pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9s: le banh mi, un sandwich constitu\u00e9 d\u2019une baguette fourr\u00e9e aux concombres, \u00e0 la coriandre, aux carottes r\u00e2p\u00e9es, et \u00e0 la viande (porc, poulet, ou boeuf) avec de la mayonnaise. De plus, la r\u00e9cente inclusion d\u2019un brunch dans leur menu me permet d\u00e9sormais de couvrir cette adresse sans d\u00e9roger au cr\u00e9do de ce blog!

Bien que de multiples variantes du banh mi existent, il peut \u00eatre facile de le d\u00e9naturer en rempla\u00e7ant la viande utilis\u00e9e par du jambon ou, pire, un genre de saucisson industriel appel\u00e9 beef bologna. C\u2019est le cas dans des r\u00e9gions recul\u00e9es du New Hampshire o\u00f9 certains restaurants se sont accapar\u00e9s la recette originale et l\u2019ont modifi\u00e9e \u00e0 leur guise. Heureusement, Vi\u00eat Citron offre une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de plats vietnamiens authentiques, dont des banh mis \u00e0 la poitrine de porc, au boeuf marin\u00e9 \u00e0 la citronnelle, et, plus traditionnellement, au poulet. Intrigu\u00e9, j\u2019essayais celui \u00e0 la poitrine de porc. Tous les ingr\u00e9dients typiques du banh mi \u00e9taient pr\u00e9sents mais l\u2019aspect \u00e0 la fois croustillant et savoureux de cette viande enrichissait consid\u00e9rablement mon exp\u00e9rience. Par ailleurs, leur ph\u01d2, une soupe de nouilles, ainsi que d\u2019autres assiettes \u00e0 base de viande et de riz s\u2019av\u00e9raient tout aussi savoureuses et relev\u00e9s.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Le prix pour leurs sandwichs peut para\u00eetre, aux premiers abords, quelque peu \u00e9lev\u00e9 mais se justifie par la qualit\u00e9 et l\u2019authenticit\u00e9 de leur pr\u00e9paration.
